Ribbons and linens at Le Petit Jardin interiors shop in Tunbridge Wells

The smell of scented candles wafts up and down the cobbled street, beautiful lavender plants overflow from terracotta pots and rustic picnic baskets are stacked up in various shapes and sizes. And this is just the outside of Le Petit Jardin, a gorgeous garden and interiors shop in the historical heart of Tunbridge Wells.

If there was a prize for best styled shop, this place would win hands-down. Parisian Fermbob garden furniture, quirky outdoor lighting, lovely garden tools, delicious candles (Bay & Rosemary is my current obsession), olive soaps, carefully selected interiors books, ribbons and linens will leave you wanting to scoop it all up and recreate the look back at home.

Whenever I’m in need of a thoughtful and reasonably priced gift, this is the first place I visit and I’m never disappointed, which also applies to the receiver of the present, whose gift is beautifully wrapped in chic brown paper by the always attentive and chatty owner!
